Very nice, and congratulations! I love the Evo Xs.
When they first started to have spy shots and stuff online I hated the way they looked, compared to the VIIIs and IXs. Then I saw one in person, at the QuickTrip near my parents' house, and realized just how awesome they look.

I was the same way with them. I did not like the bloated look in the beginning. But now every time I see one on the road, I like them more. There is one here at work, and I love seeing it. They really have grown on me.

Last time I got a raise it was so I wasn't a completely broke parent, I didn't get anything fun out of it (other than less credit card usage).

Grammar naziism aside, do they still sell those new or are you planning on getting one used? I have lusted after those for a while, and with a good front bumper they can look really mean.

It is not just for myself though. My kids will be glad when I get a new car too. They are tired of rolling around in my '96 Camry with an exhaust leak. And my wife will also enjoy the car since she will drive it from time to time. She has been an Evo fan since I showed her their gloriousness when we first met by showing her pictures of an Evo IV.
Plus, once I get a new car, we will not always take the miniature van every where. We will then get to mix it up by driving the Evo.

Congrats, lots of fun ready to be unlocked in these, just can't believe how pricey they've become (35k?!). Between that and my likely less-than-bomb-diggity raise, I've lost perspective on what car bracket I should be in or what a proportional celebration should be...any insight on how to decide what's reasonable?
